Getting Started
Before first use:
- Wash your nöni™ pans with hot, soapy water.
nöni™ pans are perfect for boiling, slow cooking, and acidic sauces. They’re durable, non-toxic, and low maintenance - diswasher friendly and no seasoning required! Suitable for:
- Gas, induction, electric, oven, BBQ, and campfire cooking.
Tip: These pans are highly conductive—start with medium heat instead of high (or low heat with our nöni™ Lightning Range). With induction, avoid the boost setting.
Cooking Tips & Tricks
Achieve a non-stick surface with your nöni™ pans:
-
Start with a clean pan
Stuck-on food acts like velcro—make sure the pan is smooth and clean. -
Pre-heat the pan slowly
- Heat the pan empty on medium heat.
- Do a water drop test: Add a drop of water—if it forms a ball and dances, the pan is ready.
- Add oil after the pan is hot and let the oil heat up before cooking.
-
Room temperature food
Cold food (especially meats) can cause sticking. Let it come to room temperature and pat dry to remove excess moisture. -
Don’t flip too soon
Food will release naturally when it’s ready. Be patient!
Cleaning Your nöni™ Pans
Daily cleaning:
- Hand washing is recommended, but nöni™ is dishwasher safe.
- Dry thoroughly after washing to prevent water spots.
Tips for stubborn stains:
- Water spots: Rub with a damp sponge and baking soda.
- Chalky white spots: Boil 1 part vinegar to 3 parts water in the pan, then wash and dry.
- Stuck food: Boil soapy water in the pan to loosen food.
- Burnt spots: Use Bar Keeper's Friend or a natural solution: boil vinegar, add baking soda, and scrub.
Avoid:
- Leaving hot pans in cold water.
- Abrasive sponges or harsh cleaners (can scratch the surface).
Caring for Your nöni™ Pans
- Clean after cooking: Avoid storing food in the pan for long periods.
- Dry completely: Store in a dry place to prevent spotting.
- Avoid adding salt to cold water: Wait for water to boil to prevent pitting corrosion.
Why don’t nöni™ pans stay shiny?
Unlike nickel stainless steel, our ferritic stainless steel is nickel-free for health reasons. While it won’t stay as shiny, it offers superior performance, durability, and safety.
Troubleshooting
Rust spots or mild surface corrosion:
- Clean and dry pans immediately after use.
- Remove spots using baking soda paste or Bar Keeper's Friend.
Blemishes or pitting:
- Pitting occurs when salt settles on the pan’s surface before boiling. Always add salt to boiling water.
- Marks won’t impact performance or safety.
